I have been in business since 1981 and have trained over 5,000 divers of which 2,000 were trained in cave or cavern diving from all over the world. I was the president of the National Association for Cave Diving for 9 years, was the NACD Training Chairman and served as a director for 14 years. I have a 100 ton captains license and am also a Federal Firearms Licensee.

 

Lloyd Bailey's Scuba has employed 107 employees over the decades with at one time 5 Billboards on I-75. In the 90's our sales were 30% interstate and 30% internet. Prior to teaching scuba, I was a professional lifeguard, a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard trainer. I also taught sailing and waterskiing when at Walt Disney World.

 

I transferred to University of Florida in 1979 to finish a chemistry degree. I have run for county commission in Alachua County 4 times. I also served on the board as treasurer for Florida Speleological Researchers and Vice Chair for Citizens for Lower Taxes and Less Government. I am a member of Countryside Baptist Church in Gainesville. I have over a 1,000 days snow skiing in 14 states and 2 provinces.
